During the appointment, your aesthetician will provide a detailed explanation of the procedure and answer any questions you may have. Next, you can expect your Soul Aesthetics provider to carefully cleanse the area of the skin being treated. Finally, a numbing cream will be applied to ensure a pleasant experience while the treatment takes place.
Your aesthetician will use a microneedling device to create tiny punctures in the upper layers of your skin. This process helps stimulate collagen production, resulting in firmer and smoother skin. After the needle roller or pen passes over your skin, a serum containing hyaluronic acid and peptides will be applied to nourish and protect your skin. During the treatment, you may feel a slight prickling sensation, but this should be minimal if the numbing cream has been applied correctly. The entire process usually takes about 30 minutes, after which you are free to return to all activities without any restrictions.
It’s important to take special care of your skin for a few days following treatment. Post-procedure instructions such as avoiding sun exposure, using sunscreen, and avoiding excessive sweating will be provided for optimal results. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and hot showers, and wear sunscreen whenever you go outside. You should also avoid vigorously rubbing or scratching the treated area.
