Collagen-Restorative Treatment
There are multiple dermal fillers that when injected into the skin stimulate collagen production. This not only improves volume, but helps with laxity and overall texture of the skin. This process is much like laying down seeds of collagen that grow over time. Types of biostimulators include Hyperdillute Radiesse, Bellafill and Sculptra.
Filler Correction / Dissolving
If you have experienced poorly placed Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal filler, or filler migration, we can dissolve the HA filler and reverse the results using an injection called Hylenex. Hylenex is a human recombinant form of Hyaluronidase and when injected into the area, it will dissolve HA fillers. HA fillers need to be dissolved when there are lumps, infection, poor cosmetic result, and urgently for vascular occlusion.
Downtime and Results
At your appointment, you will be given after care instructions and a follow up appointment will be scheduled to assess your results. We always educate our patients on the healing process, which lasts up to 14 days. During the initial two weeks following your injections, it is normal to experience swelling, bruising and an uneven appearance. It is common for one side of the face to swell more than the other, and this should subside within two weeks. Dermal filler results are immediate. However, you are likely to experience the side effects above and full results may not be visible until two weeks following treatment. Dermal fillers can last 12-18 months, depending on the filler used. At your two-week follow up appointment, we will take photos and make any needed adjustments.
