PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP) IN TULSA, OK

The main components of blood are red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a platelet concentrated component in your blood that contains nutrient cells and protein growth factors. When this is separated out and injected into the skin or used topically following microneedling, it helps reduce fine lines, texture, scarring, stretch marks and more. PRP can even be used to stimulate hair growth.

When added to other aesthetic treatments such as Microneedling or Genius Microneedling with RF, PRP speeds up recovery time and maximizes results. PRP is especially useful in treating acne scars and skin laxity and can be added on to your treatments at Soul for an additional charge.

Downtime and Results

If PRP is injected during your treatment,  you may have some mild swelling and bruising following your appointment. If this is used in combination with microneedling, you will have some redness of your skin with some pinpoint bleeding. You should not wear makeup for 24 hours and only use the products given to you by your provider. You will be given detailed post-care instructions at your appointment.

Typically it takes 90 days to stimulate collagen. It is recommended to do a series of treatments with or without microneedling for best results. Usually 3 treatments spaced 1 month apart is appropriate and then every 6 months for maintenance. Deep wrinkles or acne scarring may require more treatments.
