The Genius® RF Skin Tightening method employs extremely fine needles to create minute, controlled injuries on the skin’s surface. These needles guide radiofrequency heat energy deep into the skin layers for precise and consistent stimulation. In contrast to other ablative procedures that can disrupt the top layers of skin, Genius® RF preserves the epidermis, allowing for quicker recovery. Treatments can be safely repeated every four to six weeks to achieve the best outcome. The SkinPen is an FDA-approved device with multiple tiny needles that puncture the skin to create controlled micro-injuries. Using this technique stimulates your body’s natural wound-healing process, creating new collagen and minimizing cell damage. As a result, new skin is remodeled, resulting in smoother texture and fewer wrinkles. Additionally, it reduces acne scarring, stretch marks, skin laxity, and hyperpigmentation. Downtime and Results
Immediately after treatment, the skin will appear slightly pink to red, like a moderate sunburn. There may be some mild pinpoint bleeding. Some patients experience some dryness, tightness, itching, peeling, mild tenderness, and burning after treatment with SkinPen. These side effects only last a few days to a week and should resolve without complication. Makeup and exercise should be avoided 24-48 hours following treatment.
