Sclerotherapy is indicated for uncomplicated spider veins (very small varicose veins ≤ 1 mm in diameter) and uncomplicated small varicose veins (1 to 3 mm in diameter) known as reticular veins. Patients can return to work immediately after injections. Following treatment, you may experience some slight bruising. Post care instructions will be explained in your appointment; however it is recommended you wear a compression hose for 72 hours following treatment and avoid heavy exercise. Light walking is recommended following treatment.

It may take up to six weeks to see full results, and multiple treatments may be needed to achieve optimal results. We will schedule a follow up appointment six weeks after your initial appointment. At this time, we will assess your results and recommend further treatment if needed.
